25 दिसंबर जहां पर सभी और क्रिसमस का त्यौहार मनाया जा रहा है वहीं पर इसराइल और हमास युद्ध के चलते इस बार यीशु का घर पूरी तरह से सन्नाटा पड़ा हुआ है। क्रिसमस फेस्टिवल पर सबसे ज्यादा रौनक बेथलहम शहर में रहती है क्योंकि यहां पर यीशु का जन्म हुआ था। लेकिन यहां पर इस बार किसी भी प्रकार का कोई भी सेलिब्रेशन नहीं हो रहा है चारों ओर सन्नाटा छाया हुआ है।

क्रिसमस का त्योहार ईसाइयों का सबसे बड़ा त्यौहार है। क्रिसमस डे को यीशु के जन्म उपलक्ष में मनाया जाता है। बेथलहम शहर में क्रिसमस डे को बड़ी धूमधाम से मनाया जाता है क्योंकि इस यूसुफ की जन्म भूमि माना जाता है। परंतु इस बार यहां पर ना ही कोई क्रिसमस ट्री है वह ना ही किसी भी प्रकार का कोई सेलिब्रेशन है यहां पर इसराइल और हमास युद्ध के चलते चारों तरफ सन्नाटा छाया हुआ है। इजराइल हमले के चलते पर्यटक और तीर्थ यात्री फिलिस्तीनी शहर में जाने से डर रहे हैं। हर साल क्रिसमस डे के त्योहार पर फिलिस्तीन के बेथहलम शहर में क्रिसमस त्योहार को काफी जोश से मनाया जाता था लेकिन इस बार इसराइल और हमास के युद्ध में ऐसा कहना मचाया की पूरे शहर को विरान कर दिया। इसका असर केवल शहर में मनाए जाने वाले क्रिसमस त्योहार पर ही नहीं बल्कि सभी के घरों पर असर पड़ा। क्रिसमस डे के दिन सभी लोग पूरी तरह से पर्यटक पर निर्भर रहते हैं क्योंकि यहां पर पर्यटक चर्च ऑफ़ द नेटिविटी को देखने के लिए आते हैं लेकिन युद्ध के चलते कोई भी पर्यटक यहां पर नहीं आ रहा। इस वजह से यहां के सभी रेस्टोरेंट, होटल, दुकान पूरी तरह से विरान पड़ी है।

इसराइल और हमास युद्ध के चलते कोई भी शहर अछूता नहीं रहा है। 7 अक्टूबर को हमास के दक्षिणी इजरायल में हमले के बाद दुनिया दूसरा महायुद्ध देख रही है हालांकि इस युद्ध में किसी भी शहर को नहीं छोड़ा है। यहां तक की आतंकी हमले की वजह से फिलिस्तीन शहर में 20000 से अधिक लोगों की मौत भी हो चुकी है जिसमें अधिकतर महिलाएं व बच्चे हैं। इसके अलावा इस युद्ध ने यीशु के जन्म स्थल फिलिस्तीनी के बेथहलम शहर को भी अछूता नहीं छोड़ा है। इस वजह से इस बात यीशु के जन्म स्थल पर ना कोई क्रिसमस ट्री है ना ही किसी प्रकार का कोई सेलिब्रेशन चारों ओर सन्नाटा ही सन्नाटा है। यहां की आबादी पूरी तरह से पर्यटक पर ही निर्भर है लेकिन युद्ध के कर की वजह से कोई भी पर्यटक यहां पर नहीं आया है। अलेक्जेंडर होटल के मालिक जॉय का भी यही कहना है कि इस बार कोई भी पर्यटक नहीं है। यह अब तक का सबसे थखराब क्रिसमस डे है। इस बार कोई क्रिसमस ट्री नहीं, कोई खुशी नहीं, कोई सेलिब्रेशन नहीं और ना ही कोई क्रिसमस की भावना।
